As with all other WARWICK pump_units, automatic self-priming, automatic self-cleaning body, and self-cleaning priming device, are standard features.
The engine crankshaft extension is protected against corrosion and wear from the sealing unit, and a safety device is fitted to prevent water entering the engine crankcase in the un- likely event of the seal breaking down.
To these valuable exclusive features are added the development of wear resisting alloys, and new techniques within manufacturers own foundry; first class workmanship; and individual building and testing of each pump set, to ensure a degree of reliability not usually achieved on the smaller lightweight pump sets.
Freedom from petty troubles and adjustments, and need for only simple engine routine main- tenance, make this pump an excellent investment for the Contractor, Builder, Farmer, Industrialist, etc. especially where unskilled labour is employed.
The seal for the 2-in pumps has taken 10 years of laboratory and operational testing to achieve perfection in all respects. Running in a self contained oil bath, it requires no attention or adjustment throughout its working life. It is protected from the ravages of abrasives in suspension, it is oil and petrol proof, it is immune from the effects of vacuum reversal or water shock, crackshaft or pumpshaft end float is compensated by reason of its spring loaded, double end construction.
Both the 14" and 2" pumps are driven by 2-stroke J. A. P. petrol engines.
