In some European designs, the opposite arrangement is used, access to living areas from the entrance being gained through the bedroom/ bathroom area, which may also lead to embarassing situations.
This flat design endeavours to solve this problem by providing the entrance in the centre of the flat, so that access to either the bedroom area or the living area may be gained without disturbing the other.
Flexibility is also possible by providing a room adjacent to the living room, with its own door to the corridor and folding doors to the living room, this may be used as a study, a separate small dining room or as an extra bedroom.

In addition to the flats and under- building car-parking, covered play areas under the building are provid ed and on the roof a penthouse pro- vides additional lock-up stores and covered drying areas.
Included in the contract was the widening of the winding access road and a new bridge over Queen Mary Path.
Each flat was also to have a cloak room with a W.C. and lavatory basin, but as these would have been ventilated on to a balcony and not directly to open air. they did not pass the Building Authority.
The interior finishes in the flats were mainly plaster and emulsion
