The important feature of the equipment is the actual com- pressor (seen at right) which consists of two helical fluted intermeshing rotors mounted within one casing. Frictional resistance is reduced to a minimum and high efficiency is maintained in a single stage by the use of oil as a cooling and sealing medium.
