various parts of the church, including statues above the side chapel altars and one of St. Francis Xavier on the left of the main entrance.

There are three soundproof con- fessionals and on each side of the entrance are offices for the priests.

Flooring is of mosaic tiles. The lighting is concealed, allowing an unimpeded view of the whole of the interior and avoiding glare.

Instead of a peal of bells, an electronic bell system with loudspeak- ers has been installed.

In the right wing of the church is a baptismal font enclosure. At the back is a basement floor which can be used for meetings of clubs and societies connected with the church. Around the church is a lawn and a parking area for about two hundred

cars.

Cost of the building was ap- proximately $M200,000. The archi tect was Mr. R.B. Pereira of Kuala Lumpur. The priest in charge is Father G. C. Murphy, S.J.

Main contractor was Mr. Teh Yew of Setapak New Village, Selangor. Sub-contractors included:
