The Twin is in effect an infinitely adjustable jig, whereby two separate components can be held in any desired relationship to one another. If required, the setting can be firmly locked for respective work or intricate gluing, soldering or other holding jobs.
Grooved jaws are fitted to grip small round components, a rubber- lined base allows scratch-free holding on polished surfaces and a divider plate ratchet enables the jaws to be rotated in nine-degree steps.

Racine Mini-Screed
Racine Hydraulics, Inc., Racine, Wis., USA. The unit moves in either direc- tion and may be used for striking-off and semi-finishing pavements and other pours up to 16 ft. wide.
Power is from a Briggs & Stratton 3 h.p. petrol engine. The machine is most effective in striking off low slump mixes to promote natural water and air displacement. It takes beams from 2 x 4 in. to 2 x 8 in.
The unit may be easily transported and will not damage light form settings. It weighs approximately 83 lb.
WATERPROOFERS
Expandite Ltd., Chase Road, Lon- don, N.W.10, are now marketing a new range of bitumen-based water- proofers under the name Proofex. The range, which includes both emulsions and solutions, has been formulated for damp-proof membrane, roofing and general weatherproofing work.
Included in the range is Proofex bitumen/latex DPC emulsion for damp- proof membranes in solid concrete floors. It is also recommended for vertical damp-proof membranes on brickwork or concrete, for protecting concrete columns prior to cladding and for other general waterproofing work on concrete.
