Another critical maintenance problem caused by chemical "action"? This time sugar was the villain. Storage in this tower- ing new sugar silo is now secure and main- tenance is minimized due to the highly chemical resistant finish of CIBA Epoxy- based (100% solids, positive cure) coat- ings formulations.
High resistance to mineral acids and alkali must be provided in tanks, pumps, and processing equipment. Hard, tough and durable CIBA Araldite® 830-850, 100% solids coatings systems excel at doing the job, and do it equally well on metal or con- crete surfaces. Delivering high build with a minimum number of coats that can be applied at temperatures as low as 30°F., and under high humidity conditions, these remarkable CIBA developed finishes posi tively cure with excellent adhesion, abrasion resistance and gloss.
