particularly well suited for compacting deep lifts behind asphalt spreading units and for operating on grades steeper than usual for compaction equipment.
The machines feature a Clark tor- que converter, power-shift transmis- sion and differential. Travel speed for- ward and reverse in first gear is up to 6.5 m.p.h. and up to 12.5 m.p.h. in second gear. Rolling width for both machines is 7 ft., the same width as the machine. Overall length of the RW 210 and 211 is 18 ft. 4 in. and wheel base is 13 ft. 4 in. Ground clearance is 13 in. Turning radius is 25 ft. 9 in.
The compactors are seven-wheel machines with four 12.00-20, 14 PR

tyres in the rear and three in the front. All tyres have a flat profile and the machines are equipped with nylon scrapers for cleaning the tyres.
All wheels are oscillating and both compactors are equipped with isostatic wheel suspension to provide equal wheel loading and homogenous com- paction of all materials. The machines also are equipped with an automotive- type hydro-static steering system and air-boosted hydraulic brakes. Water tank capacity of the compactors' sprinkling system is 277 U.S. gallons (1050 ltr.).
Optional equipment includes a cen- tral tyre-inflation device to change tyre pressure while moving. The device can be controlled from the driver's seat and thus increases the machine's ability to meet varying soil or compac tion material conditions.

WELDING SET
The Bantam Elite lightweight arc- welding set has been designed for con- stant operation on normal arc welding and therefore requires no thermal cut- outs or warning lamps to indicate over- loading. It offers six output settings ranging from 40 to 140 amp.
Said to be capable of welding 16 s.w.g. to in. (6.4 mm) plate in one pass, and any thickness with several
