ROOFING TRIM
A trim to go round the edge of flat roofs has been introduced to com- plement Marleydek asbestos-backed vinyl sheeting which is welded into a jointless roof covering.
Extruded in rigid p.v.c., the new trim is of a shape to enclose the nor- mal perimeter of a flat roof. The standard sizes are 1 in. and 221⁄2in. deep. The 8ft. lengths, in black, white or grey, are linked together with a slot- ting piece which is hidden, and there are

Cotswold has a pattern resembling the bark of a tree and is available in clear-white glass only. Facet, which has a chain mail effect, is made in clear white, amber, green, red and blue. The
Cotswold and Facet
patterns are on the inside of the blocks, leaving the exterior faces flat.
Both blocks measure 240 x 240 x 80 mm, giving 16 to the square metre, and weigh 4.1 kg.
THERMOMETER
An extension to the range of probes for Dependatherm electronic thermometers permits accurate mea- surement of pipe surface temperatures. Its accuracy is unaffected by paint on the pipe.
The probe is embodied in a tem- perature-resistant nylon strap, measur- ing 6in, long in its standard form and ready-made internal and external angles weighted at each end. By laying the to facilitate installation.

PLASTIC FOAM
A special type of polyurethane foam produced by Unitex, Knares- borough, Yorks., UK, is said to show many advantages over conventional rigid foams. Known as CRF Rigid Foam, it is tough, elastic and shock ab- sorbing, and has a high compression loading capacity.
The foam can be bonded to itself and to many other materials by means of solvent free adhesives and, although basically a thermosetting material, it can be initially softened by the ap- plication of dry heat or hot water to facilitate draping or pressing into a moulded shape. When moulded in this way, it retains its thickness on bends.
Skinning with Multican coatings or resin-coated glass cloth provides an extremely strong fabrication. Panels up to 2ft. wide can be produced in any thickness up to 2in. A 1⁄44in. thick sheet weighs 1.8 oz. per sq. ft.
