The revolving superstructure is mounted on a heavy-duty fully-enclos- ed double ball-bearing turntable, the machinery frame being a heavy one- piece fabrication incorporating the side frames and machinery shafts. Boom hoist gear is of the worm-drive double drum type, operated by in- ternal expanding clutches; an auto- matic brake is fitted to the worm- shaft, and an independent foot-oper- ated boom hoist brake is also provid- ed. The crane boom is high-tensile steel of hollow rectangular section.
Self-erection equipment as standard enables the driver to build the full length of boom with minimal assis- tance. Extension pieces 10 and 20 ft. long, and 20-, 30- and 40-ft. fly jibs. are available. Maximum boom length is 140 ft.. or 160 ft., when combined with a fly jib.

The pump has 21⁄2 in, connections and is said to pump up to 200 gal- lons per minute at pressures up to 100 p.s.i.
Components include a self-lubricat- ing shaft seal, swing out handles for carrying and an exhaust primer that starts water flow in 30 seconds. Suc- tion and pressure gauges are fitted and the pump is powered by a 9 h.p. Briggs and Stratton engine.

MOUNTED on the offside front frame of a Ford 5000 tractor, the Bowleer & Sindey Reevarc welding
generator is ready for use anywhere on site. It does not impair the manoeuvrability of the tractor and there is no increase in track width or tractor height.
The generator, which is 2 ft. long. 2 ft. high and 1 ft. 6 in. deep, rides clear of the wheel, and projects only 6 in. at the front of the tractor. Drive comes from the front power take-off through pulleys and multi- ple v-belts, fitted with engaging and disengaging gear.
