BALDERSON Inc., Wamego, Kansas, USA. have announced a new high production dozing attachment
for Caterpillar tractors. Called the Bowldozer, it has been developed for such applications as feeding belt loaders and stock piling.
The rear wall of the Bowldozer is similar to а conventional straight dozer. Side walls extend 5 to 7ft. straight ahead and are connected at the lower front corners with a shal- low beam equipped with a scraper type cutting edge. The universal motor develops 2 h.p. at 10,000 vibrations per minute. It is mounted on a skid base that also acts as a handle.
The flexible shaft is made of 3% in. diameter core which rotates inside a flexible casing which is lined with spring steel, reinforced with wire braid and covered with a rubber jacket. Nine different vibrator heads are available including four with fins around the outside of the head, pro- viding more area contact with the

A NEW Ateco radial-action ripper, Model HR-280, Series III, for use on Michigan 280. Series III tractor- dozers, is being produced by Ameri- can Tractor Equipment Corporation, Oakland, California, USA.
Close coupling of the radial action tool beam to the tractor concentrates full weight on the shanks for fast penetration in compact materials. Its arcing movement helps in ripping down slopes and in breaking out large slabs of pavement and rock.
