capacity, the Monair 2 measures 6 ft. 7 in. long, including drawbar, by 4 ft. 10 in. wide by 3 ft. 111⁄2 in. high. and has a hook weight, when dry, of 2.040 lb., or 1 ton with fuel and oil.
Its working parts are reduced to a minimum, contributing towards efficiency and low maintenance and running costs, routine maintenance being limited to that required by a diesel engine. The single sump is charged with normal diesel-lubricat- ing oil; special compressor oil and oil changes are unnecessary.
The Monair is fitted with a 16 gal. tank, can be started and run with the

THE 621 tractor-scraper introduced by Caterpillar Tractor Co., Peoria. Ill., USA, is rated at 20 cu. yd. heap- ed capacity and 14 cu. yd. struck capacity.
It is powered by a new 300 h.p. (flywheel) V8 engine and has an an 8- speed planetary power shift transmis- sion and a hydraulically controlled scraper.
In the first two speeds. where maximum rimpull is needed for load- ing or unloading the scraper, all of the power flow is delivered through a torque converter. The 3rd to 8th speeds are direct drive, providing fast haul road speeds and maximum power train efficiency. The top speed of the 621 is 30 mph.

ROTARY TROWEL
Designed for Large Floor Areas
STOW Manufacturing Co. has start- ed production of a trowelling ma- chine, model G-46, with a ruggedly designed guard ring which practicality eliminates vibration.
The trowel has a 46 in. diameter and is offered as a 6 h.p. 3 or 4 blad- ed or 7 h.p. 4 bladed model. It is supplied with one set of finish and one set of float blades which are re- versible. Combination blades are also available in place of float and finish blades.
A sliding sleeve type clutch, stops the machine the instant the operator releases the handle. This feature also allows the machine to be started at any throttle position. The stationary guard ring allows the operator to

Additional features include a long adustable handle and a handle mount- ed blade pitch control knob which allows the operator to adjust the pitch of the blades while the machine is in operation.
