New Design for Low Level Cistern
THE low level cistern made by Fordham Pressings Ltd., Melbourne Works, Dudley Road, Wolverhamp- ton, U.K., who claim to be the first manufacturers to offer white and coloured plastic cisterns. has been completely redesigned.
The New Eterna model is of thermoplastic. It is lightweight and rigid and has a narrow projection when installed. A high gloss finish is applied in white, black or standard bath shades and the heavy front lever is chromium plated.
Available in 2, 2 or 5 gallon capacities, the cistern has no work- ing parts that will corrode. The float is polythene and the syphon is polypropylene. As an alternative to the standard model, the Eternal

INSULATION
Fire Resistant Reinforced Aluminium Foil
Ltd.,
SISALATION 450, made by Austra- lian Sisalkraft Pty., Ltd., 161 Arthur Street, Homebush, NSW, is an in- sulating material consisting of two layers of aluminium foil bonded to kraft paper with polyethylene. Two layers of this are then laminated with a special fire resistant adhesive and reinforced with glass fibre.
When used as a roof insulation, the aluminium foil reduces the heat flow through the roof and so lowers inside temperatures by up to 15 de- grees F. In the same way, in cold

Method Increases Strength of Cast Gypsum
WHEN calcined gypsum is mixed with water, a reaction between the water and the solid material leads to the formation of crystals of a diffe- rent type. This change produces the the hardening that is the basis of the normal uses of gypsum plaster.
