The Plast House is supported by a steel pipe frame- work and is faced with plastic-covered and natural wood on the inside. Glass-silk and bakelite sprayed together are used in making the exterior panels.
Within two hours, the 3mm. thick wall and floor panels can be removed from their formwork. Room partitions and later additions can be added at any time.
Record Building Forecast in Canada
THE president of the Canadian Construction Association, Mr. Donald H. Jupp, has predicted that Canada's 1965 construction programme will, for the first time on record, go over the C$9,000 million mark.
Mr. Jupp said recently that this rise in construction volume would be fairly general across Canada. Local and provincial construction associations affiliated to the CCA had reported that none expected a smaller pro- vincial construction programme in 1965, and those in Manitoba and Newfoundland expected their programmes to be about the same as in 1964.
