Homantin, Kowloon, makes full use of fair-faced concrete, both externally
and internally. Columns and beams show the moulding of narrow boards of rough wood, matched so that joint marks form a symmetrical pattern.
Concrete infilling blocks too are left fair-face, as are 2ft. 6in. deep hori- zontal concrete fins which are placed between vertical columns as sunbreak- ers; three horizontal fins form a group with the fanlight in between.

Like most Hong Kong schools, the Chan Sui Ki College is squeezed into a very limited site a formed flat area of 45,510 sq.ft. in the shape of a flat- tened letter V with hills on the south east corner and a steep fall on the north east corner. The accommodation requirements were for a standard 24 classrooms, though four more class- rooms were added during the course of construction, together with special rooms for geography, art, music, library, physics, general science, bio- logy and chemistry laboratories, plus living quarters for the religious staff.
The design solution was two seven- storey rectangular blocks forming an L-shape close to the northern and western boundaries of the site. Stair- cases are located at the end of each block and at their junction. A fan- shaped auditorium to hold 1,000 per- sons is attached to the eastern end of
