containing lifts, staircases and lavatories, enclosed by three linked wings containing the office accom- modation.
The wings will be faced with vertical stainless steel ribs at 1.5m centres with bronze tinted glass windows and bronze coloured spandrels.
Structure of the tower will be based on a rein- forced concrete core carrying three cantilevers at 12th, 21st and 34th floor levels. Each of these can- tilevers is twice the height of a normal floor and will contain the air conditioning and mechanical services.
Around the periphery of the tower the inter- mediate floors will be carried on steel columns at 3m centres supported by cantilevers and concealed within alternate ribs of the facade.
Completion of the scheme is scheduled for 1975-6. Architects are R. Seifert & Partners, con- sulting engineers are Pell Frischmann & Partners, and quantity surveyors are C. E. Ball & Partners and Thompson & Alexander.
