CHASING MACHINE
Cuts Brittle Materials Without Shattering
the
A CLEAN chase can be cut in one operation by the Quersa rotary chas- ing machine without shattering even brittle materials such as hollow clay pots.
It is an extremely fast machine which is said to eliminate the need for making good when the chase is completed. The cutting action is by means of a rotating milling head in which is placed 16 tungsten-carbide tipped teeth set at different angles and depths and held in position by allen screws. All teeth can be removed for resharpening.

Final drive the milling head is through four silent- bloc bushes which smooth down the cutting action and reduce operator fa- tigue. The chase will take 1 in. con- duit and there are three adjustments
for depth from 18 in. to in. to 1⁄2 in. Cutting speeds vary from 3 ft. to 12 ft. per minute depending on the material to be worked.

BEAM CLAMP
Interchangeable Arms are Quickly Adjusted
AN ordinary scaffold tube serves as the base member for the interchange- able arms of the robust, lightweight SGB beam clamps, which are quick and simple to adjust and lock.
Suitable for use on either steel or timber shuttering, the clamp arms are available in three sizes, 12, 18 and 24 in. high, with a 5 ft. long standard
base tube. The substitution of a longer base mem- ber of standard scaffold tubing fa- cilitates the con- struction of ab- normally wide beams.
The clamp arms incorporate a spigot to take prop heads, and are drilled with nail holes for spiking to timber shutters. They are clamped to the base tube by means of standard eye-

bolts. There are no loose parts, and no tools are normally required.

CLEANING MACHINE
Delivers High-pressure Concentrate and Water
SUITABLE for cleaning plant, and exterior masonry the American-de- signed Hi-Jet washer mixes various types of cleaning and detergent con- centrates with water and delivers the mixture to a high-pressure nozzle at 500-600 p.s.i.
a
metal The Hi-Jet consists of cabinet. 211⁄2 in. long. 114 in. wide and 191⁄2 in. high, mounted on two rubber-tyred wheels with a third small supporting castor. The top half of the cabinet contains a 4 gal, detergent tank. A 1⁄2 in. inlet connection is provided for water from the mains, and both this and the outlet from the
Hi-Jet washer
detergent tank have filters and non- return valves.
The proportions of concentrate and water are controlled by knobs on the side of the cabinet, which also carries the pressbutton controls for the com- bined mixer and pump. This has a I h.p, single-phase motor. In the pump. the liquids are mixed and passed, via a pressure-release valve to a pistol- shaped nozzle at the end of a hose.
E. P. Barrus (Concessionaires) Ltd.. 12-16 Brunel Road, Acton, London, W.3, market the machine. They are seeking agents in S.E. Asia.
