Timer Connected to Light Switch Regulates Fan
THE latest Uniset timer, the T965, has been developed to control exhaust fans in internal bathrooms and toilets. Wired into the lighting circuit, it keeps the fan running while the light is switched on and for a further period of from 1 to 12 min. after the light has been switched off.
Two versions of the timer are avail- able, one housed in a cast aluminium box with the timer knob set behind a glass window, the other in a sheet metal box with an exposed knob. Both boxes have a hammered grey finish and measure 6 by 41⁄2 by 44 in. deep. An alternative model keeps a fan running for a preset time after a number of light switches have been turned off.

WALL COVERING Aluminium System with Snap-on Mullions
A PATENT for a system of wall covering and its support. designed primarily for remodelling exterior walls of existing buildings has been issued to Reynolds Metals Co.
The new multi-framing system consists of metal furring strips and snap-on mullions, both usually made from aluminum extrusions and panels. The panels are rigidly sup- ported along the edges in the Rey- nolds system, permitting the use of metal mesh or other flexible panels which are not necessarily self-sup- porting.
The system offers a variety of architectural applications and is characterized by simplicity of design and installation, elimination of expen- sive fabrication, and design freedom.

LIGHTING FITTINGS Styrene Diffusers for Fluorescent Lamps
Two additions to the Crompton Star range group of lighting fittings are announced. Intended for com- mercial and industrial use, both are styrene diffusers and are designed as attachments to Star batten fittings.
One is a reeded opal type with attractively-designed end plates slot- ted to allow the ends to be light flashed: this lessens the solid appear- ance given by some fluorescent fit- tings. Diffusers of 8 ft, 5 ft. and 4 ft. are available for use with one or two lamps.
The other is a two-tone one and two lamp 5 ft. model with opal sides, clear prismatic base, and dark grey plastic end plates.

Textured Laminate with Woodgrain Finish
A TEXTURED laminate with a matt finish which has the appearance and the feel of wood has been developed by Formica, Ltd., De La Rue House, 84 Regent Street, London, W.1.
Whereas the standard laminate is completely smooth, the new material has a textured finish obtained by pressing the sheets between smooth highly-polished stainless steel plates on to which the graining from an actual piece of wood has been trans- ferred.
The natural wood grain finish has the same durability and stain resis- tance as the standard laminate. It is available in 9 ft. x 4 ft. sheet size, in standard 1/16 in. laminate.

COLTURA, A two-component epoxy resin flooring compound, is claimed combine the known qualities the ad- epoxy coatings with vantages of high-pressure airless- spray application. One coat gives thicknesses between 1/16 in. and 8 in., and a rate of 1,600 sq. ft. of floor- ing laid per day can be achieved.
Available in a limited number of standard colours, Coltura gives a hard non-slip, dust-free surface with good resistance to wear and chemicals. It requires a sound, level foundation sur- face, such as concrete, mortar, steel, wood, cork composition or asphalt - some of which must first be treated with a coat of primer. Once mixed, the compound has a pot life of about 45 min. at 65 deg. F. Air require- ments for spraying are about 10 c.f.m. at a minimum pressure of 90 p.s.i.
