It is interesting that on a current project in Malmo the complete bath- room units represented as large a part of the total building cost as the whole of the loadbearing framework. If the shaft and stair well units were added, the proportion of the indus- trially manufactured components in- creased from the average normal 10 per cent. to about 26 per cent.
The project comprises three eight storey blocks of flats with 80 flats in each block. The erection of the loadbearing walls and flooring frames, balcony slabs, complete room units for bathrooms, toilets, lift shafts and stair wells took 40 working days, or one floor with 10 three-room flats every five-day working week.
These figures include the erection of the prefabricated facade on the balcony side and the lifting and plac- ing of partition elements as well as other fittings.
The erection crew consisted of four men using a rail-mounted tower crane.
On another project where the Allbeton method is employed a further step in industrialised building has been taken with the production of completely finished and equipped kitchens as complete room units. This project comprises one five-storey block of flats with 100 flats. As the complete room units comprise kit- chens, bathrooms and toilets, the pro- portion of industrially manufactured components will show a further in- crease as these units are fairly com- plicated and contain expensive devices.
In buildings with complete room units the planning must comprise the casting of as many drainage, ventila- tion and cable conduits into the ele- ments as possible. An installation completed in the factory is rational, a fact which has been proved by the 5,000 heart' units

The complete room unit is provid- ed with all main services for hot and cold water, sewage, heating and electricity, and the connecting of these services to the complete units is mainly what remains of the installa- tion work.
The complete room unit is trans- ported from the factory to the site on ordinary trucks and the weight of the unit, including the lifting devices. is 10 tons maximum. The kitchen and
bathroom units are manufactured on an assembly line and the production capacity is one room unit per mould per day. The tolerances are about
→ 1,0 mm,
The complete room units are not to be regarded as a definite solution of industrialised building but as a further step towards the rational production of an increasing proportion of the structure. With correct planning this system can provide great advantages, which in their turn may contribute to further development.
