Swedish Consortium Delivers Complete Hospitals
A COMPANY for the planning, design and construction of complete hospitals and for the delivery of complete hospital equipment has been formed by ten Swedish companies. Called Swedevelop Hospital AB. it will work principally in developing countries.
The ten companies are AGA, ASEA, Bahco, Calor & Sjogren, the Cooperative Union (KF), CTC, Electrolux, Svenska Industribyggen, Skanska Cementgjuteriet and Stille-Werner. The new company was formed Swedevelop AB, Stockholm, a joint venture of companies for promoting two-way trade with developing countries.

This observation tower hanging from a central service core and enclosed with curtain glass is part of a model entered by the Bath Academy of Art, in the west of England, as a travail d'equipe for this year's Biennale de Paris at the Paris Museum of Modern Art which ended on November 3. It contains a lift, control centre, indoor and outdoor observation decks, refresh- ment area and lavatories.
Designated Jardin Anglais, the idea is "to refresh the mo- torist through means of aesthetic experience" by providing road structures that incorporate varied colour forms, textures and sounds to alert and refresh the senses, in preparation for the continuance of the journey. The project in Paris was shown by means of a model, its full scale appearance being simulated by projections on a cylindrical screen surrounding the audience.
