also lend the Authority HK$30_mil- lion from the Development Loan Fund to meet part of the construction cost; the balance will be found from the Authority's own resources.

Under the new plan for the 161⁄2 acre site, each of the five 28-storey blocks will have 27 floors of domes- tic flats with the ground floor used as covered play space or for kinder- garten, shops and other community activities.

In addition, there will be two low blocks, each seven storeys high, with the roofs used as play areas.

the majority of the 60 shops will be located, arranged around a two-level plaza, or town square, together with a group of stalls for the sale of fruit and vegetables.

To the south of the plaza and at a lower level will be a large recrea- tion area of almost 31⁄2 acres bound- ed by four of the tower blocks, In all, the scheme will have about eight acres of open space, inaccessible to and unobstructed by traffic, including a hillside adventure playground as well as the more formal and regular children's play areas.
