Weighing 22 tons it is powered by a 165 b.hp. Rolls Royce or Cummins diesel. Contra-rotating tracks give a high manoeuvrability, not normally obtained with a machine of this size.
A digging depth of 20 ft. 6 in. can be achieved with the standard dip- stick, increasing to 25 ft. with an extended dipstick. The low-speed, high-torque motor provides fast slew- ing between digging and dumping.
