LIGHTING FITTINGS
Pendant or Ceiling-mounted Opal Glass Design
TWO opal glass fittings, the Dia- mond and the Saturn, are made by Hume Atkins and Co., Ltd. in 12 in. and 16 in. dia. sizes. They can be supplied in pendant, close-ceiling or wall-mounted versions.
In the Diamond, which takes 100 and 200 w. lamps respectively in the 12 and 16 in. sizes, the pendant metalwork is aluminium, either anodised or black-enamelled. The standard ceiling fitting uses a screw- down mechanism for the release of the glass, while the wall fitting has a lever mechanism gallery.
The Saturn is of generally similar specification to the Diamond, but is also available with an open bottom and concentric plastic louvre, with or without the black ring.

FLUSHING VALVES
Adapt to Pressure Variations
AUTOMATIC WC flushing valves made by Georg Rost and Sohn, 4952 Hausberge, Postfach 48. West Ger- many, do not have to be pre-set, but automatically adapt themselves to the pressure variations in the supply main.
Valves are constructed for installa- tion on the wall, in the wall, or for foot operation.
For countries where the water supply for WC units is generally by tank installation only, i.e. by systems with an extremely low water pres- sure, the firm has developed a valve that can work at 2.2 lb. p.s.i. in combination with any type of WC
