The Expenditure Estimates for 1967-68 are generally presented in the same form as those for 1966-67 with the exception of Head 36, Education which has absorbed Head 74, Subventions: Education. One new Expenditure Head is created to accommodate expenditure in connexion with the University Grants Committee. Several departmental Heads of the Estimates, notably Education and Agriculture and Fisheries, have been recast in order that estimated expenditure may be related more closely with aspects of depart- mental activities. Because of the more comprehensive nature of Head 36, Education in its new format, Appendix C, being a comparative analysis of expenditure on Education, appears in an abbreviated form in com- parison with the statement contained in the 1966-67 Estimates.
