The new posts approved by Special Warrant during 1963-64 are for the Shek Pik Training Centre. Of the remaining additional posts, 1 Principal Officer is required to assist the Medical Officer and supervise the enlarged hospital unit at Victoria Prison; 4 Warders are for duty in the enlarged hospital unit; 2 Warders as drivers for additional vehicles; and 2 Social Welfare Officers to extend the aftercare service in connexion with the Tai Lam Prison. The 20 supernumerary posts of Junior Prison Officer are included to cover the training of staff for the new Tong Fuk Prison.
