The remainder of the staff employed on demarcation work for the Cadastral Survey of the New Territories, formerly provided for under Public Works Non-recurrent, is now transferred to the permanent establishment.
Under Other Charges Annually Recurrent, the increase of $53,500 is mainly due to expansion of
activities.

The increased provision for 1963-64 is accounted for partly by normal increase and partly by higher commitments in respect of contract gratuities payable under Subhead 7(1).
