All principal towns are now connected by telegraph and the new trunk railway which connects the F. M. S. Railways and the Siamese Railways has been completed. It is now possible to travel by rail from Singapore to Bangkok through Kelantan.⠀
The quantity of copra exported in 1932 amounted to 389 tons as against 439 tons in 1931. The exports of rubber were valued at $812,858 as against $1,647,188 in 1931. The quantity of tin-ore exported was 1,675 tons valued at $1,392,126 being a decrease in quantity of 1,441 tons and in value of $844,875. The total gold from the State placed on the market in 1932 was 25,985 ounces valued at $1,032,173. The Raub Australian Gold Mining Company is responsible for 99 per cent of this total output.
The total value of trade for, 1932 was $5,942,903 as against $18,744,971 in 1931, a decrease of 32 per cent.
