CHAIRS
I.-In Victoria, with two bearers. -Quarter hour. 10 cents; Half hour, 20 cents; One hour, 25 cents; Three hours, 50 cents; Six hours, 70 cents; Day (6 A.M. to 6 P.M.) $1. If the trip is extended be. yond Victoria, half fare extra.
II-Beyond Victoria, with four bearers.-Hour, 60 cents; Three hours, $1.00; Six hours, $1.50; Day
(6 A.M. to 6 P.M.), 2.00.
III.-In the Hill Districts, with two bearers.-Quarter hour, 15 cents; Half hour, 20 cents; One hour. 30 cents; Two hours, 5 ce ts; Three hours, 70 cents: Six hours, $1.00; Day (υ A.M. to 6 P.M.); 31.50. With four bearers.—Quarter hour, 3 cents; Half hour, cents; One hour, 60 cents Two hours, 50 cents; Three hours, $1.00; Six hours, $1.5); Day (6 A.M. to 6 P.M.), $2.00.

NOTE.-Victoria extends from Mount Davis to Causeway Bay and up to the level of Robinson Road. If the vehicle is discharged beyond these limits half tare extra is to be allowed for the return journey. METEOROLOGICAL SIGNALS
Meteorological sig 11ls are hoisted on the must beside th↑ Time-ball at Kowloon Point for the information of masters of vessels leaving the port. They do not imply that bad weather is expected here:-
A Drum indicates a typhoon to the cast of the Colony.
A Ball indicates a typhico · to thu wes of t e C lony.
A Cone point upwards indicates a typhoon to the north of the Colony.
▲ Cone point downwards indicates a typhoon to the south of the Colony.
Red Signals ndicate that the centre is believed to be more than 300 miles away from the Colony. Black Signals indicato that the centre is believed to be less than 300 miles away from the Colony.
NIGHT SIGNALS
Two lanterns hoisted vertically indicato bad weather in the Colony and that the wind is expected to veer.
Two lanterns hoisted horizontally indicate bad weather in the Colony and that the wind is ex- pected to back.
The signals are repeated on the fi gstaff of the Godown Company at Kowloo::, and also, by day only, at the Harbour Office and on H.M.'s Receiving ship.
LOCAL STORM-WARNINGS
The Colony itself is warned of approaching typhoons by means of the Typhoon Gun place at the foɔt of the mast, which is fired whenever a strong ga o of win is expected to blow here.
