132 Squadron of Spitfires visited Canton yesterday and after giving a short disply of formation flying and aerobatics, landed and were inspected by Marshal Chang Fa Kwei, Commander of 2nd Army Group and
A large General Lo Cho Ying, Governor of Kwartung. crowd was at the aerodrome to welcome them, including all principal Chinese authorities. Great preparations had been made to receive them including repairing the road to the aerodrome, erecting special buildings for their reception and triumphal arches with "Welcome to the R. A. F." Chinese expressed appreciation of opportunity to see modern British aircraft. Squadron returned to Hong Kong in the afternoon.
