Allison later rang up to say that a further communication had been received from the Sate Department indicating that some American business men have been definitely refused visas tɔ go to Hong Kong and asking the Embassy to draw our attention to the matter.
Please refer in this connexion to Sterndale Bennett's letter to Colonel Drew of the 9th November about Hong Kong (F 9432/917/10), a copy of which was sent to Monson.
