Following from Chiefs of Staff.

Your T.0.0. 120658Z of 12th November not to C.-in-C. India. While appreciating your arguments for despatch of a British Brigade to Hong Kong, the brigade of 2 British Division which had been earmarked for you may have to remain in India. Since it is likely that no other British troops will be available, an Indian brigade is being prepared for Hong Kong but will not be ready to embark before 15 December. Further signal will be sent when full appreciation of C.-in-C. India's requirements has been made.
