You will have had our letter F.S.R. 353 addressed to Scott on the latter subject, and you will have had a copy of the Parliamentary

Secretary's letter to the Chinese Embassy on the subject of the return of the coasters to the China Coast. We have now received an acknowledgment of this letter saying that the matter has been referred to Chungking.

We will keep you posted with copies of telegrams and letters as they are sent off or received.
