My 100736 / not to Commodore Hong Kong concerning wearing of uniform by Admiralty civilians.

1.

Understand C. in C. E.I. does not intend that civilians should be put into uniform except those proceeding with first

flights of port parties and that he intends reversion to full civilian status.as soon as possible.

2. It is most desirable to maintain uniformity of practice in this matter.

3. Request therefore you will state whether you consider wearing of uniform by civilians to be necessary and if so for how long this is likely to continue.
