Only aircraft for Hong Kong leave from Yunnanfu and Embassy advise me it is impossible I can reach Yunnanfu before September 18th and unlikely before September 20th wheñce Hong Kong within two days.
2. Present plan provides my arrival at Shanghai on September 18th by direct R.A.F. aircraft which is due to proceed to Yunnanfu next day and on which Hopkins or I could travel.
3. As I cannot therefore reach Hong Kong before Hopkins could please instruct urgently which of us should proceed there.
