Chinese Central News this evening carries message from London dated September 1st stating Lien Ying-Chow, chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, is leaving England shortly for Singapore after con- sultation with the Colonial Office.
2. Can you confirm this and inform me of policy which is now to be adopted as regards the return of Chinese business men to Malaya and Burma? If their return is to be permitted soon it would help us here.
