G.0.C. is reporting fully to War office about failure of American relief party including British Army Aid Group personnel to get into Hong Kong.
2. Canadian Ambassador informs me that His Majesty's Canadian ship "Prince Albert" is due at Hong Kong with relief supplies on August 27th and that he has arranged with Americans that his Military Attaché be flown to Hong Kong by that date if possible.
3. I have repeatedly impressed on the Chinese that British Naval force is en route for Hong Kong; and we shall no doubt receive instructions here and wish them to be given date of arrival.
