Must be in position to introduce essential CA. Staff

of 25 Officers to Hong Kong earliest after surrender.

Subject your concurrence propose to despatch officers in

one party to suitable assembly point in SEAC E.T.D. on

or after 18 Aug. Grateful your views whether assembly point

should be Barrackpore, Columbo, Rangoon or other place.

Desirable that we should be able to communicate direct with

CCAO (Brig. MacDougall) at assembly point.

Three. Grateful if you can consider and arrange ways and means for

their onward passage by air if possible to Hong Kong,

Above on adsumption that time will not permit of their joining

naval force before latter proceeds Hong Kong.
