ONE. My immediately following signal gives text of
instructions sent by Foreign Office to Embassy CHUNGKING.
TWO. The specific authority of H. M. G. in which S. of S.
for Colonies concurs is hereby conveyed through you to
GIMSON to hand over authority in Colony of HONG KONG to
you or to the Senior officer for the time being commanding
his Britannic repeat Britannic majesty's Forces in HONG
KUNG to whom you may delegate powers under Article SEVEN
of the Proclamation immediately on arrival of your forces.
