I attach a note of the

meeting here to which you and Kitson were kind enough to come on the 5th of July.

I also attach a draft

telegram on the lines then agreed which, if the War Office approve, you may care to send to the Ambassador in Chungking as soon as we hear from them that their telegram to Hayes has been despatched.

I am sending a copy of this

letter and enclosures to Molony.
