I suggest that we should have a discussion generally on this main line and any subsidiary lines which those concerned with British territories and policies in the Far East may feel should be examined, and we might also in the process consider what, if any, fuller reply should be sent to the China Association in respect of the representations in their letter to the Colonial Office of the 27th of May.

If you agree, I will convene a small meeting for the purpose, and I am sending a copy of this letter to Waldock (Admiralty), Lieutenant Colonel Williams (War Office), Cribbett (Air Ministry), Slade (Ministry of War Transport) and Fraser (Board of Trade).
