Attitude of British subjects in occupied China to the Japanese.

Rerers to Foreign Office telegram No.936 of 10th July (F 4801/888/10)

There is no evidence in Chungking that cooperation between British and Japanese in occupied areas has gone beyond the scope envisaged in Foreign Office telegram, to Washington No.1642 (F 1495/1494/10). W With one or two exceptions there is no evidence that

Americans as a whole have been unduly critical of our attitude. Full information will soon be available from released British Consular Officers. (Repeated to Washington)
