Arrangements were made with the Division Superintendent of
Schools for dental care to be given to the evacuees by the local
Junior Red Cross dentist. Those who received this service ex-
pressed their gratitude for satisfactory service.
Red Cross nurses were on duty in La Union, Miramonte, San
Fernando, Bauan, and in hotels and apartment houses in Baguio.
These nurses made daily rounds to the quarters of the evacuees,
supervising the sanitary conditions of the quarters, giving
nursing care, general health supervision, distributing warm
clothing, and special foods to babies and small children.
thousand three hundred thirty-five visits were made. Seven
hundred nineteen of these visits were for nursing care. The
nurses were available for day and night calls.

Fifty-five patients who needed hospitalization were admit-
ted in the Notre Dame Hospital. An analysis follows:
