the demands for medical service increased, and as the time of the

Bureau of Health doctors was somewhat limited, it became necessary to employ a physician for full time general medical service. full-time physician was on duty daily at the Headquarters clinic. He visited patients in their quarters for day and night calls as needed. Some of the patients who were hospitalized were also

under his care. In the Manila area a total of 403 patients were

given attention through the Health and Hospitalization Section.
