On the morning of July 3, a general conference was held of
all Army officers assigned to duty at the evacuation camp. Major
William M. Tow, the Executive Officer, asked for suggestions as
to what services could be provided and necessary rules and regula-
tions to be observed. A memorandum of Information for Visitors
was drawn up, which gave a clear idea of the services rendered
and read as follows:

INFORMATION FOR VISITORS
1. An officer is in charge of each barracks; consult him or his re- presentative on any matter about which you need information.
2. Initially visitors are requested to remain in the immediate vicinity of their respective barracks. In case of emergency consult the officer in charge of your building.

8. A mess will be operated in Building 116 (The Bakers & Cooks School). Meals will be served at the following hours:
Breakfast Dinner
Supper
7:00 to 8:30 11:30 to 1:30 4:30 to 6:30
b. Visitors should bring with them to the Mess Hall the canteen cup which has been issued to them. This cup should be kept in their possession so that they may have it for use in barracks.
c. Drinking water is available in your building. You will need your own canteen cup for drinking purposes.
4. Lights in sleeping quarters will be extinguished at 9:30 P.M.

5. Hand luggage only will be taken to the sleeping quarters. are cautioned to keep all small articles secured in their luggage as the authorities cannot be responsible for loss of personal property.
6. Visitors are expected to cooperate in every way in keeping their sleeping quarters clean and orderly. They are requested to make up their beds. Receptacles have been provided for waste materials. Janitors will enter sleep- ing quarters at 9:00 A.M., for the purpose of cleaning up and removing waste.
