This is an adaptation from the pro- visions of section 22A (1), (2), (4), (5), (6) and (8) of Straits Settlements Aliens Ordinance, chapter 90 as amended by Straits Settlements Ordinance No. 3 of 1938.

Section 5 of the 1934 Ordinance gave a very limited right of appeal to masters. The new Section derived from sections 161-3 of the Buildings Ordinance, 1935, gives a general right to all dissatisfied persons.

is considered desirable.
This section is adapted from a com- bination of section 14 of the repealed Ordinance of 1934 and section 3 (1) of the Revenue Officers Power of Arrest Ordin- ance, 1917.
The penalties are doubled, and the power to order forfeiture of the security is new.
