Hong Kong Immigration ordinance.
Refers to Foreign Office letter or 24th January (F 215/98/10).
Transmit s copy of despatch No. 483 of 3rd December from Hong Kong enclosing copy of the Immigratio Control Ordinance, 1940, together with a note by the Attorney General explaining the objects and reasons of the Ordinance. Transmits also copies of Ordinances of 1899, 1934 and 1935 to which reference is made in this note.
Proposed to inform Acting Governor that in present circumstances at Hong hong power of non- disallowance will not be exercised in respect of this Ordinance.
