Establishment of immigration bureau in Hong Kong.
Extract from conversation between Mr. Butler and Chinese Ambassador who said that he had been discussing the situation in Hong Kong with the Governor and that the Chinese still resented the proposal for the establishment of an immigration bureau in Hong Kong. He expressed the hope that Colonial Office should be encouraged to maintain an interest in growth of the University at Hong Kong which was of importance for training young Chinese.
