While it cannot be said that situation generally in the Far East has materially changed, nevertheless I agree that compulsory evacuation of civilian women should now proceed on reduced scale recommended by you. Please inform Tokio and Shanghai. Please forward by air mail at first opportunity nominal list of British European persons evacuated and subsequent information you may receive as to individuals' onward journeys from Manila.
