I have discussed with Blackburn the question
of the Crown Advocate about which you wrote to
Nigel Ronald in your personal letter of the 4th
April.
Blackburn considers, and I agree with him,
that Priestwood being the drinker he apparently
is, is bound to put his neck into the noose before
long, whereupon you can pull it tight and we can
dispose of him with a clear conscience.
You, and particularly Phillips, might therefore
keep an eye open for his next lapse and utilise
it as above.
