Dear Andrews,
With reference to your letter 54024/39 of
21st November, we have written to our Embassy at Washington
and have suggested that they may consider it advisable to
let someone in the State Department know that Sir Henry
Pollock's letter was written on his own initiative, and
that we share Sir Geoffrey Northcote's views as to the
impropriety of his action.
Yours sincerelyy
(Sgd.)
Y CLARKE
F.F.S. Andrews, Esq.
Colonial Office.
