Exhibition of film "Confessions of a Nazi Spy" in Hong Kong.
Transmits (1) copy Hong Kong telegram No.211 of 26th July enquiring whether film "Confessions of a Nazi Spy" has been passed for exhibition in the United Kingdom. The German Consul-General has asked that it be prohibited, after a private view at the invitation of the censor. (2) Copy telegram to Hong Kong No.151 of 3rd August stating that the film has been passed for universal exhibition in view of the fact that it is a 17th Aug. 1939, reconstruction of a recent trial in the United States
and deals with American citizens in America.Permission to exhibit may be granted.
